About The Theatre

Flight Path Theatre is a theatre space located at the Addison Road Community Centre in the heart of Marrickville in Sydney. The theatre building, originally constructed as army barracks, has been used as a theatre space for many decades. In operation since July 2019, Flight Path Theatre continues to offer a platform for independent productions in the Inner West.

At Flight Path Theatre, we believe in creating meaningful connections. by creating and hosting events that bring our community together.

About our Co-Directors

Flight Path Theatre was co-founded by Kate Bookallil and Siobhan Lawless in July 2019. Driven by a love for theatre and performances, Kate and Siobhan have been working on and off stage for more than 20 years.

Kate and Siobhan are also the co-founders of Inner West Drama, offering acting classes for kids, teens and adults. Through delivering acting classes at Flight Path Theatre, Inner West Drama provides a critical financial backbone for the theatre, which operates as a not-for-profit institution.

Alex Moynihan

Alex Moynihan
Managing Director & Co-Founder of Turning Point

Alex has been a board member since 2019. With a background in strategy, operations & technology with Deloitte and launching a number of start-up businesses, Alex’s role in Inner West Drama is to bring innovative commercial ideas and strategies that can help Siobhan and Kate deliver the best experience for their audiences and ensure a sustainable and impactful ongoing business that is at the centre of the inner west community

Lucy Stewart

Lucy has 20+ years’ professional experience in infrastructure planning and advisory, with expertise spanning strategy, business case development and investment proposals, governance, and stakeholder management. She is passionate about arts and culture, social infrastructure, community advocacy and the not‑for‑profit sector, and brings a values‑driven, community‑focused lens to her work. Lucy joined the Flight Path Theatre Board as Chair in 2026. As Chair, she supports the organisation’s strategic direction and delivery of its objectives by providing governance oversight, fostering an inclusive and constructive Board culture, strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders and supporters, and guiding transparent, well‑informed decision‑making. Lucy is committed to ensuring Flight Path Theatre remains a vibrant, accessible home for diverse voices and creative development, and that the organisation is well positioned for long‑term sustainability and impact. 

 

Bronwyn Byrnes

Bronwyn Byrnes
Barrister, 6 St Hames Hall Chambers

Bronwyn has been a board member since 2026. Bronwyn is an experienced Barrister, with over 25 years’ experience as a lawyer specialising in discrimination and employment law and works with corporate, government and individual clients to resolve all kinds of disputes. She is passionate about the arts and a regular theatre attendee, having many cherished childhood memories of performing in and attending the theatre with her family. Bronwyn’s role on the Flight Path Theatre board is to foster solutions that create a safe and harmonious environment for Flight Path Theatre’s clients, employees, audience, and other stakeholders.

Susan Huang

Susan Huang is an arts producer, theatre-maker, and cultural strategist working across Flight Path Theatre, Inner West Drama, and Shiny Heart Productions. She brings over 20 years of business and organisational experience alongside an established practice in independent theatre development and children’s performance work. Through Shiny Heart Productions, Susan has developed, written, directed, and produced original work for young audiences, with productions presented twice at Arts on Tour’s SALON program and touring shows currently in circulation. Susan oversees end-to-end delivery of the Runway program, including strategic planning, open call design, communications, budgeting, reporting, marketing, stakeholder management, Script Exchange delivery, and post-premiere distribution frameworks. She also coordinates cross-sector relationships and ensures alignment between artistic outcomes and organisational sustainability.

Siobhan Lawless

Siobhan is a co-founder of Inner West Drama and co-artistic director of Flight Path Theatre. Siobhan graduated from QUT with a Diploma in Acting, she also has a Graduate Diploma in Media Arts from UTS. Siobhan has spent the last three decades working in theatre and television. Witnessing the way drama unites and provides a space for bravery, experimentation and play, fuels Siobhan’s love of teaching. Siobhan is furthering her interest in the transformational power of theatre by currently undertaking a Master of Creative Arts Therapies.

Kate Bookallil

Kate Bookallil received a BA in Performing Arts from the University of Western Sydney in 1999. Kate has spent the last three decades performing, producing and teaching, with a particular interest in working with children, seniors, people living with disability and those feeling disconnected. Kate is the co- artistic director of Flight Path Theatre and the co-founder of Inner West Drama. Kate loves helping people reach their potential through creative practice.
